Korean writer Ko Un visits Smith College on April 20th, 7:30pm, Weinstein Auditorium, Wright Hall.

The most prolific Korean living writer, praised by Allen Ginsberg as “a magnificent poet,” Ko Un is a beloved cultural figure who has helped to shape contemporary literature. David McCann, Korea Foundation Professor of Korean Literature at Harvard University, will introduce Ko Un and give a short talk on his poetry in the context of Korean literature. (read more)

Photographer Linnea Osterberg ’97 will be exhibiting photographs at the Alumnae House Gallery during this Spring ’10 semester.
“FUTURE SMITHIES?” showcases girls from the American West who are connected to Smith College through their mothers, aunts, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers.

Linnea Osterberd is a portrait photographer in Portland, Oregon. Her pictures peek into the inner lives of children, capturing thoughtfulness, wonderment, and joy.

Photographer Linnea Osterberg ‘97 will be exhibiting her photographs at the Alumnae House Gallery during the Spring ‘10 semester.
